Units with tv. Location: the hotel was just next door to easy access to the underground and a subway stop and convenience store and the beautiful forest and river. I stayed here for 6 days and would stay here again.

The staff are very friendly and the room was very traditional and big with tv. There's a train station stroll from the hotel...

We were kinda surprised by the clean, quiet and spacious rooms at this hotel. The location was ideal, within walking distance to many popular attractions. The host, Tammy, went out of her way to suggest amazing sightseeing spots and delicious restaurants nearby. We can't wait to come back in different seasons to experience the beauty of this place. we highly recommend this hotel.

Clean hotel in a beautiful building close to a quiet neighborhood yet very close to central Kyoto. Fabulous and beautiful room with a fairly clean bathroom. The bed is comfortable and the location is comfy. Great way to end our trip.

Kinkaku in Kyoto was a fantastic place to stay! the location was ideal, just minutes away from Kyoto Central station. Getting around was a breeze with the convenient IC card system that covered subway, trains, and buses. We especially loved the direct line from Yamashina to Gion, a picturesque area. the price was great and the amenities were impressive - we had a cozy room, access to a sitting room with a TV, and a fully-equipped kitchen. the downstairs room was the nicest. Kinkaku offered incredible value for a wonderful stay. Cons: N/A.

We stayed at this lovely Ryokan themed hostel in a quiet residential neighborhood of Kyoto for a week. The tatami rooms were spacious with ample closet space, and we appreciated the large kitchen where we could cook and eat. The location was very convenient, with a major subway line nearby that allowed us to easily explore the city. The host, Tamy, was incredibly helpful and responsive, and the cleaning staff was friendly. We also loved having access to a washer and dryer and enjoyed the peacefulness of the neighborhood at night.
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.
